I really enjoyed this book... it has been on my wish list for a while and finally I just couldn't resist the gorgeous cover art any more Once I downloaded the sample and started reading I was hooked. I started and finished the book in the same day! I was really enchanted by Kama and her life in the dystopian society of Arcadia. It is similar in nature to "Matched" by Ally Condie with a slight paranormal twist. The writing style makes it a quick easy read, yet I felt very connected to Kama and her feelings. The ending has a big cliffhanger so I am very much looking forward to the next book in this series and will be checking out Kailin Gow's other novels.

The 'Sunday Times (London)' describes Ms. James work better than I can. "P.D. James is recognized not only as Britain's most successful living writer of crime fiction, but its most literate exponent." I rarely agree with reviews printed on the back covers of books but in this case I do. Reading 'The Murder Room' is like reading well crafted prose which also happens to be an excellent mystery. I have never read any type of book with better developed characters. I'm looking at the list of her books on the inside cover and I have enjoyed reading each and every one. For you feminists out there 'An Unsuitable Job For A Woman' would be a great one to start with. Even if you read no other read it.

She's consistently trying to prove to herself and to others that she is every bit a part of her family's history as her brother, but it almost seems to bring her further from that. But the forces of darkness are always there, and Amanda seems to be fighting both inside and out, and as much as she wants to fight and be someone, she's got a lot to live up to. Some of what the Wynter and Chelsea families need to live up to is hidden in lies and mystery, and those mysteries are potentially and probably very dangerous. Some people are born to be writers. Author Becca Ritchie, wrote Wynter Chelsea: The Legacy when she was just 14 years old. Cohesive, action-packed and with a touch of romance that defies the norm of YA fiction (read: this is NOT insta-love), Wynter Chelsea: The Legacy is a little bit of everything that makes the paranormal genre great. The full cast of characters complemented one another well, and each had specific character traits that set them apart from one another. Most of all though, each action had an equal and worthy reaction. If that doesn't equate to what a book should be, then colour me crazy. The best part of the book was the background and history of the Wynter and Chelsea families. The younger generation of the demon hunting families which included Amanda, Jack, Dustin and Trevor was dynamic and engaging. Jack was a bit of a force to be reckoned with for me. He had a definite mean streak, and his emotions were so off-kilter that it kept the story moving, even when the battles lulled. Amanda, though I desperately wanted her to be a badass in Wynter Chelsea: The Legacy, fell a bit flat for me though, to be honest. Her internal monologues were a bit taxing, and while her power was awesome and really heightened her potential with Dustin, she whined a lot. I get why she did, but I wish she would be less talk and more action, if that makes sense. Either way, the non-stop plot made up for it. All in all, Wynter Chelsea: The Legacy was a great supernatural read that kept me hooked from page one to the very end. I give it a very strong 4 out of 5, and I recommend it to all YA fans, especially those who enjoy paranormal stories. It's especially great for those fans of shows like Supernatural because, hey, we can never get enough hunters, right? I received this book free of charge from the author in exchange for an honest review. This, in no way, affected my opinion or review of this book.

Bombshell tonight. I knew the murderer on page 100. I love Nancy Grace. I watch her all the time. I bought the book because I expected more than I got with Death on the D List. I feel like Nancy didn't give her readers enough credit. She tries to get us stuck on two suspects as possible killers but goes overboard with hints that lead any half-brained reader right to the real murderer. The only mystery in this for me was how long it would take for her to reveal that I was right. I did like the charactor development in the book and felt it was an easy read. Definitely entertaining but not something to take seriously. More like a lazy reader by the pool...

A refreshing view on history. The author explains how six drinks influenced culture, politics, and war. He doesn't try to steep you too long in the flow of history. Rather, he uses little aperitifs: stories and anecdotes to illustrate the impact of these beverages. I guess you'd call this diet history, for lack of a better term. A fast, easy, interesting read.

I loved Philippa Gregory's Tudor series and thought i would give another one of hers ago. I didn't enjoy this at all. In fact I got half way through the book and realised I wasn't bothered about finding out what happened at the end and would quite happily have not picked it up again but I perservered. It was predictable, I guessed what was going to happen fairly near the beginning of the book so there was nothing to keep you wanting to read the book. It was uncomfortable to read as you knew things were going to get messy. It's a shame but I would not recommend it.
