I literally read this in one night without setting the book down. I can't wait to start on the next book in the series!

I'm a man who, all of my life, has enjoyed novels ostensibly written for women. I preferred Nancy Drew to the Hardy Boys. I introduced my wife to Laurell k. Hamilton, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Christine Feehan, and many other authors who theoretically write for women. I've only recently discovered Karen Marie Moning, and I adore her. Her Fever series pushed all my buttons in just the way I like them pushed. Strong characters, strong writing, and exactly the number of pages required to tell the tale. She tied up all important plotlines, yet left me yearning for more. Now I'm waiting for my wife to start the series; I'm eager to see what she thinks. We both like many of the same types of books, but not always the same authors. I'm always anxious as I await her verdict. Anyway, my highest kudos to Karen Marie Moning. I hope to be riveted by her prose for years to come.

Wow. I know Auster from his work on the films SMOKE and BLUE IN THE FACE, but these books blew me away. I don't want to give away any plot points, so I'll just say that Auster takes his love of Brooklyn, detective fiction, and twist-ridden plots and filters them through the prism of intimately intense personal questioning and metatextual anguish. All in a prose style that is lean in a way that grabs you by the lapels and doesn't let go until you've lost half an afternoon to it. Great stuff.

Ok, maybe like 1,5. But seriously, I feel like I've read a different book from everybody else that rated it. Don't think I'll be continuing with the series.

The story is interesting and will make your heart skip a bit with tension. It is an interesting tale of a young girl, of rudy, her adopted parents of faith and goodness of the hearts despite that it is the time of uncertainties and helplesness and of course,of hope, perseverance and triumph.

A book that brings together the state of the art in Theory of Constraints consulting -- much to my surprise, there is an incredibly active research and consulting community around refining and advancing TOC. This book encapsulates the known best methods, which have come a long way since the Goldratt books of it's not luck and necessary but not sufficient. A very fast read, and I found it so incredibly alluring that I found a graduate course that teaches the Goldratt Thinking Processes, and enables you to take the TOC Jonah certification exam (now called TOCICO Practitioner Certificate, due to a trademark violation around the term "Jonah"). BTW, that course is at Washington State University, EM526, taught by Dr. James Holt. I haven't been this exhilerated learning something in a very long time -- highly recommended: http://www.vancouver.wsu.edu/fac/holt...
