I thought this book was a tad bit slower, and definitely not enough Patch and Nora action. Although it was still very very very good. How can you not love it? Becca did a fantastic job on writing this series and I can NOT wait for the final one to come out! Although I will be sad to see it ending. :( I loved how everything played out but I was so mad at some parts. lol.

I'm not sure what all the hype was about. This book was long (600 pages), pretty boring, and didn't offer much insight into the characters or their motivation. There was one good chapter early on that carried me through the boring bits because I thought it would reclaim some of the energy of that one good chapter, but it never did.

Another fab outing with Stephanie, Lula, Grandma Mazur . . . and (of course) Stephanie's two luscious hunks. We should all have such problems, eh?

It was a serious subject told in a funny way. Vizzini did a great job explain how the depression started, what the "shift" meant, gave the main character a sense of humor and wonderful parents. That part was really kinda nice.

Not as good as Fablehaven, but the villain was interesting. The cliffhanger at the end is sooooo obnoxious that I have to read the next one.

I read this book because of the (first) movie adaptation. The movie moved me so much and has had a lot of influence over how I view life. The book is even better. Read it. That's all I can say.

I thought it started out strong, but as I worked through the book I found most of the information self-evident. The author repeated himself often and tended to overkill all of his subjects. Despite this, he has some helpful ideas but be ready to skim A LOT to get to them.

Safran-Foer's fictional Holocaust novel is definately worth reading. Not only is this book completely hilarious, but it also hits on some interesting points. The simple fact that this book exists is an interesting point, for there are people who believe that there is no place for fiction in the Holocaust. This book pushes its readers to think about truth, history and the value we place on objects.

Harr tells the story of the search for a lost Italian masterpiece in a way that neophytes can enjoy the thrill of the chase and not be overwhelmed with all the intellectual jargon of the art history world. Caravaggio was one of the brightest stars of the Baroque period and very few of his paintings has survives. This is the account of finding one of his painting. I liked the no frill approach the author had. For art lovers and people that like a good treasure hunt done by academics. That means old archives in remote Italian villages, research through 1600's account books, 1900's sale receipts etc. A librarian's dream treasure hunt. : )
