This is a great kind of alternate future story where the original Avengers are old and retired. It's really intense with the HQ of the New Avengers getting nuked in the first couple pages. The art is great and some of the big guys die.

I started this 3rd book in the series first and was half-way through it before I found the other 2 books. So I stopped reading it at p.130 to be exact. I found the first (Darkfever), read that, then the second (Bloodfever)within a couple weeks. Then re-read the 3rd(Faefever) from the beginning and it was totally worth it. It filled in a lot of questions that had been plaqueing me during the first read of Faefever. Now I wait for the next in the series... You can read each book without the others but the picture is incomplete and so much better fromt eh beginning :) There is also a really cool web-site about sidhe-seers that is fun and incorporates all the themes of the book. I would recommend reading at least the first 2 books bfore wandering around the websites since the spoilers are rampant.

2 star medical thriller (good book but below average for the genre). A squeaky clean, Christian-themed medical thriller set in Texas that's very kind and gentle but not so thrilling. The only Science Fiction novel that I know of that was written by a Vietnam war veteran (other than the other books the author has written, of course). The book clearly describes the futility of fighting a war for wars sake. It has lots of cool relativity-time-dilation stuff too.

This book was definately an awesome read it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time! Loreli was raised at Siren Song along with all of her illegitimate sisters,by her Aunt Catherine and her floozy quack of a mother Mary who later vanished thought to be dead. As a child Loreli remembers a strange and frightening little boy named Justice Turnbull who would come visit with his mother Mad Maddie Turnbull. All of the women of the family was rumored to have a psychic gift and Maddie used hers to tell fortunes. Justice grew up with such hatred for his mother and all of the sisters that he turned into a psychotic serial killer and wanted to kill them all. After LOreli's divorce from her Pompous ass husband Byron Loreli finds herself pregnant with his child and with these malicious thoughts from none other than Justice himself. He has escaped the mental hospital were he has been held for the criminally insane since his previous murder spree a few years back. He's out to kill the sisters of siren song especially Loreli because for some strange reason he can smell and track her because she is pregnant. Harrison is a newspaper reporter looking for the big story to get his career back on track since a fallout with his previous employer. He meets Loreli and offers to protect her and track down Justice before he kills everyone she has ever cared about. In the process he falls head over heels in love with her and feels that he has to protect her at all costs. The suspence in this book was amazing, I actually could feel the fear myself when Justice appears the first time to try to kill Loreli. It had an awesome ending and left off to where more can be written on the story. Can't wait to find out what is next. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes to be scared!!!

I had heard a lot about this book, but was a little disappointed with it. It was good, but not the blockbuster I was expecting. Still worth the read tho.
