Most of this book is just hype and empty promises! The truth is, the only people that will make money from this book are the authors themselves - there are no new ideas in here that will help those of us who already do most of the things in this book. That being said, I suppose if you weren't doing some of the things in this book, you might get a little bit out of it. Overall, I don't recommend it.

If you are obsessed with Pride and Prejuidice, then you have to read this book because you will totally relate to the main character Jane. And you will laugh at yourself too! It's a cute romantic book that has an interesting twist or two. Very funny, as long as you have a sense of humor about yourself and your love affair with Pride and Prejuidice! I'm really enjoying Shannon Hale's books and can't wait to read more!

I'm kind of relieved I finished this book because now I can have my life back. The trouble with these historical thrillers is that I CAN'T PUT THEM DOWN. And at the same time I'M HORRIBLY EMBARRASSED to be reading them. So it can be tricky to always be reading a book you want to keep secret. The Templar Legacy taps into the legend of the Knights of Templars' lost treasure. It's a good premise (I mean, hello, lost treasure), but the puzzles were kind of lame, and the background characters were too confusing to keep track of. I felt like I was trying to see the countryside in a speeding car: I knew there were some finer plot points I was missing, but I'd be damned if I slowed down long enough to process them. All in all, The Templar Legacy kept me entertained, and it probably won't be too long before I reach for another Steve Berry book. Maybe this time I'll craft an alternative book cover out of a paper bag.

Wow! I had just finished reading Asimov's foundation trilogy and needed something to ween me off of my nerd fix. I asked the used book shop girl about something science fiction and tongue in cheek and boy was I happy. This is all about cave men and how they invent fire and love and stuff and then it makes their lives easier but then burns them and stuff. Really swell. Don't miss it, its really short too. Although my girlfriend couldn't really sink her teeth into it.

A bit disappointing, actually. It was good--don't get me wrong--but not quite what I was hoping for. The Arthur Dent character adds a lot to the richness of Adams' narratives, and this book doesn't have anyone to act as a foil in quite the same way. It muted a lot of the humor for me, and left me without any real emotional anchor. Dirk Gently is interesting and fun, but too eccentric to play the same role. Still, better than I could do. :)

I didn't get through this whole book before I had to take it back to the library. But I liked what I read. I read every chapter on the different languages and learned a lot. But, the truth was that the author said that love languages aren't usually manifested until age 5 - so I think I'll go back and re-read this book when my kids are older. In the meantime I'll just try to remember all 5 languages and love my children in a whole way. The only things I didn't like were 1. The way the author was SUPER repetitive in his writing and 2. The fact that he was saying most parents don't know how to love their children the right way. I don't agree with that - it's not as if all parents are idiots in love until they read this book.
