There isn't enough good things I can say about this book. If you like true, gritty tales, this is for you. WW2 and the Nazi treatment of Jews features heavily in the book as the teens immerse themselves in books like The Diary of Anne Frank. Though a tough book to get through, it was an amazing read. The triumphs and lows of these teens, and their amazing teacher, Ms.G, will feel like your own.

Hard to believe that it's fiction. It's very detailed, and a very emotional read. Gives more insight into China and the Chinese people. The ending is perfect for the story, I just wish she'sd written a sequel.
