What can I say... if you love Cronenberg, you'll love this. Like all the greats, he didn't give a damn what anyone thought about how "out there" his ideas were, and was never afraid to go too far. This book gives me courage. I love this series of books... I would recommend these to anyone wanting to get into film/learn how to write screenplays, and suggest they stay the hell away from those Syd Field style hack books and those bougse film schools. The only way to learn is by watching the movies you love, figuring out how they did it, and trying it yourself. Getting the information straight from the directors' mouths is incredibly inspiring and beneficial, and very low on bullshit.

This is the same author who wrote "Watership Down". All of his books take the perspective of animals. He also writes a book from the view of (I think Robert E. Lee's) horse during the civil war. This book is not for the squeamish as it tackles issues of animal experimentation.

This is such a gripping and detailed account of the Lusitania's fatal voyage that you can almost feel the icy waters of the Irish Sea. Getting to know some of the people who were aboard makes the story even more tragic.

I am astounded by how this man made a huge positive impact on the lives of many people. I don't like the writing style at points, but it does the job of giving a blow-by-blow account of how Greg Mortenson got schools opened. It inspired me and changed how I think of Pakistan and Afghanistan.

This is how to read this book. 1. Read/skim through to get the basics of discordianism as outlined by the Principia Discordia (i.e. the sacred chao, basic history of the Bavarian Illuminati and their purpose, fnords, discordian cycles in society, etc.) 2. The rest is essentially these principles let loose in a conspiracy theory funhouse. Read at your leisure as you will whenever you would like. Don't worry if it doesn't make sense. The whole point is that there's no difference between hallucination and "reality" and everything is permitted. Even the completely bonkers style of this book. Could very well be a permanent addition to your coffee table.

This book reminds me of the Japanese manga Alice Academy (aka Gakuen Alice). The book is a good read. I liked it. There are really slow times but the mystery is there that'll keep you clinging to it till the end. I don't know if I like Dancia or not but I think it'd be good if it's written in Jack's POV cause I find Dancia a bit gullible...I'd give it a 3.5 stars but made it four because of the epic "hole".
