It's like an action movie in written form with very little plot development... every five minutes they solve a million year old theological mystery. A friend of mine who's at getting her PHD in theology said a lot of the info it gives is taken out of context and misrepresented.

It would have been five stars if it didn't include my number one pet peeve in books and that is characters being shot and a hospital scene, its a pet peeve because for whatever reason being shot and having a dramatic hospital scene seems to be in about 90% of m/m books. I still haven't quite figured out why but its so boring and cliche and been done a thousand times, seriously if you're thinking of writing a book please leave the characters getting shot at the door its boring and makes me just wanna leave the book. Saying all of that it was quite a good read and different to the rest i mean plot wise this would never happen in a million years but i think people should definitely read it (minus the typical shooting/hospital)

This is a beautiful book about enjoying nature and respecting wild animals on their own terms. In Own Moon, a father and daughter venture into the forest to communicate with, and hopefully see, an owl. Nice introduction to outdoor hobbies and non-consumptive enjoyment of wildlife.

Haven't read an allegory in years and thoroughly enjoyed this one. Denise Hunter is a terrific author for those of us who enjoy a Christian romance with an encouraging message.

Both of these novelas are intimate, touching shorts where nothing happens, but elegantly so. It took me forever to get into Seymour, but because I was expecting something other than what I got. After the other Glass stories, I wanted to finally really meet Seymour, but the story isn't about him at all - its about Buddy and his attempts to write about his dead brother. I've never read something that so perfectly captured the frusterated experience of trying to compose a story.
