Very reflective and wholesome moral truths for living, quite a fresh read in the world of inconsequential candy reads. While one might not agree with every Buddhist principle for living, as I myself don't, the general truths that you pick up and contemplate throughout the day are hard to escape. Easy and quick, yet full of substance and worthy of review time and again.

One of the better Jodi Picoult books, although not in her top tier. I find her books more interesting while you are reading them than after you finish - you can't wait to get back to read them, but afterward you are not sure it was a great story. She certainly does her research, though.

Warriors Fire and Ice is the secret to Warriors Into The Wild. In this book, Firepaw, or should i say Fireheart is a full fledged warrior. As his first mission, him and Graystripe,recently Graypaw, get chosen to find the missing WindClan. Once the Clan gets safely returned, Graystripe meets a young she cat who he falls in love with. The problem is, she is in RiverClan. The connection i have with this book is hard to make. I guess it would be wanting to have unity between all races. Bluestar, the Clan leader of ThunderClan, wants just that. Even though she has to fight, doesnt mean she wants to. She obviously hates fighting. I would give this book five stars. Even though it's not that real, it makes it feel real. It is totally fiction but you can picture the cats fighting and talking. I love this book.

Laurie Halse Anderson sinks her teeth into writes about eating disorders in this one. She distracts from the too-familiar story and flat characters uses lots of "clever" formatting, including numbers/tiny text/three guesses This could have been a good book if Anderson had spent less time being "clever" and more time creating solid characters that would have strengthened a story that's been told plenty of times before.

And is saying it ever so difficult in Winesburg... but Anderson has it down and communicates what the people of Winesburg are thinking about beautifully. Favorites among the chapters (though all were spellbinding) include: Hands, The Strength of God, Loneliness, and Death. I'd like to visit Winesburg, and though I've moved on to another book, I hope it continues to haunt my dreams.
