Oliver Twist (100 Temel Eser-İlköğretim) - Charles Dickens TrendKitaplar Kütüphanesi

After reading the first book I wasn’t planning on reading torment, however it was brought as a late Christmas present by someone and I felt compelled to read it. Surprisingly it was much better than Fallen, Luce still annoyed me but at times I had to agree with her. Most of my review will sound like I’m moaning, but the book is generally a good read there are just details I really wanted to know but I predict they will come out in the next book. In this book Luce is taken to Shoreline a school for Nephilium (any one with an angel in there family tree) as she needs protection from creatures that want to hurt her and tip the balance of power. At the school she learns a little more about her past live and families she left behind and the world of angels. During most of the book Daniel and Luce aren’t together as he is trying to protect and stop the creatures coming after her. In order to do this he called a truce with Cam that last 18 days. Daniel’s and Luce’s relationship is quite annoying in this book (not that is wasn’t in the last one) but now there an actual couple however they’re rarely together. According to the truce Daniel can’t see Luce in order to keep her safe but he can’t stay away for long so he visits her several times during the book for short periods. Most the meeting start with them kissing none stop and then flying but end in a with them fighting. I didn’t know what to think of the fighting on one side it made there relationship more real because relationships aren’t always lovey dovey and I was on Luce’s side in most the argument. I mean you can’t order her about and not tell her why. Also he won’t tell her anything about there past he’s basically trying to keep her prisoner in the school. But on the other side I was like its obvious he loves you, stop complaining about everything he says he protecting you so trust him, you keep wishing for more time with him so why fight with him. I found that Luce complained a lot in the book which I didn’t like but I found myself agreeing with her, she wasn’t getting told anything and she was sick of people getting hurt for her and not knowing why. As a reader at times like this I couldn’t help but agree with her I wanted to know as well, what the big secrets were. I liked having something in common with Luce and she easier to connect with in this book but I would have rather known more of the secrets. As Luce is being kept with Nephilium she gets to learn more about announcers or shadows which lead her to questioning everything about her life and her relationship with Daniel as she wonders why she is being punished and made to spend eternity dieing. And why her past families are being punished as well with having to watch a daughter die. And if she could have a normal life (no dieing, kids, marriage) without Daniel as he seems to have brought all this on her. Luce changes her mind repeatedly about Daniel as he won’t tell her anything yet she feels like there meant to be together. There is also Miles a new character in this book who likes her and is always around to comfort her and talk to when ever she needs.
