Piper McCloud is a girl who just can’t keep her feet on the ground - literally. Kept secret from the world by her fearing mother she can hardly stop herself from flying whenever she is alone. Trouble starts however when she flies to catch a fly ball during a town picnic. Soon she finds herself whisked away by a secret government facility dedicated to training and educating special young people. The facility looks like a dream place to be for Piper, but underneath something about the place does not seem right. The story was fun, although mostly predictable. At times the author seemed to be inventive and unique while others she seemed to be at a loss as to what to do (for example coming up with names like Bella Lovely and Agent A. Agent). This might be a fine kids book for someone just getting started with novels.

This book is told from the collective point of view of three sisters. One is living at home and the other two return home to care for their mother once she is diagnosed with breast cancer. All three sisters have issues to deal with and need to adjust to living at home again and returning to the small confining place they were raised. Their father is a professor at the college in town and the book has many quotes and references to Shakespeare.

Carrying this book itself was a task- a 900 page thriller. Maximum City, Shantaram , Sacred Games are few books, which capture and provide an efficient of Mumbai and its life. Vikram wrote such a riveting account of Gaitonde. The book was engaging, that I had expected a movie out of this book. This book deserves to be read at peace. The ending of book, was though a bit sluggish. But still, book could be read, if one is on a long travel and get in another world

This graphic novel, using supernatural as an explanation to world war II begins with a very nice pace, taking us into the view of several different characters, most involved in espionage. It soon becomes a little bit too confusing, however, since I don't think 6 volumes are quite enough to be able to explain most of the story line. Also I think some characters deserved more in depth background. I could imagine it as a cool novel. As I finished book 6, the whole feeling was a bit dull, seeing that some of the plot didn't make too much sense. Enjoying read, nice graphics, interesting theme and twist of history, but it still gains only 3 stars for me.
