Not exactly what I was expecting, somewhat hit or miss, but a decent collection. There were a few that I thought were downright bad, but overall it was an enjoyable journey through the mind of one of my favorite artists. some of my favorites: Spit Hits My Face, c'mon, let's go, Joy, & My Watch Hates You.

Chronologically first in the Doctor Syn series (the first book is the last chronologically), Syn on the High Seas kicks off the bloody adventure of Christopher Syn. The core story is really told in this book and in the next, Doctor Syn Returns. The subsequent books are along the lines of "and they had many adventures." Here, Syn is a mild mannered Doctor of Divinity, until tragedy and fate lead him to a life on the high seas as the bloodthirsty Captain Clegg. It's well-plotted pulp adventure, with clever ideas and characters. High Seas and Syn Returns are the meatiest books of the series, and the best place to start. Don't read the first book first, it's not as interesting.

4.5 Stars. Review coming soon at nocturnereads.com This is my first venture into multiracial and male on male and boy did I throw myself in face first! I definitely tapped into some secret fantasies I didn’t even know I had! Joining the Party is book one of the Lucky Springs series and Dragon did not waste any time jumping right into the action. Cassie is the ideal “open minded” woman. She isn’t afraid to go after what she wants, and isn’t afraid of the lifestyle she is offered. Dominic can be summed up in one word…Yum, and he is a great match for Cassie. Alex and Monty, the bi-sexual male lovers, are both intriguing and awkward for me. As this was my first read with male on male action, I was grateful to not have it constant throughout the book (they only have a few scenes that they do things together in). The group action between the characters is nothing less than hot. Dragon throws in a little and a lot of everything including multiracial lovers, orgies, voyeurism, anal, male on male, and of course a sizzling romance. Joining the party is a well written “naughty” read. If you like group action where anything goes this is a book that will have your body burning. I have definitely added this to my reread list and I am eager to read the next one in the series.
