A fictional account of a high school teacher and a nurse enduring the Columbine tragedy and their journey away from and toward each other through post-traumatic stress disorder, drug and alcohol addiction, and a wild-ride of family history that includes a farm and a female prison. It's good, although the jacket praise lays it on a bit thick, and I personally think Lamb's first book was better. If you ever taught high school or have teenagers, you will enjoy the author's perspective.

Although this was released a few years ago, it was a fresh breath of air to read something in this genre and not have a love triangle of some sort in the plot, but rather a focus on friendship and a mother-daughter relationship. A great read.

This book was very intense and good. The idea of being able to see and hear all of the men's thoughts all of the time is really creepy. I did not like that they used the term "effing" all of the time, but I would rather them say that than the real word. It will be a great series.

literally laughed out loud. some brilliant observations. Sedaris has a wonderful way of letting it all hang out, while at the same time maintaining respect for his subject (family) and, oddly, his own privacy.
