This book was a fantastic biting satire of American society's obsession with both celebrity and commercialism, which comes to a perfect Palahniuk ending, full of symbolic glory. I absolutely devoured this book and loved every second of it.

I liked this book as it was a good read, but also for the fact that is sparked my interest to read more non-finctional research about Lollardy and Julian of Norwich. It serves as a good stepping stone to some serious research on an important period in church and literary history.

I remembered a book I thought deserved one star! I read this for a class, and then I read it again for another class. This book is, just. I think the subject matter and writing style would make it attractive for some teenagers--it deals with homosexuality and transgender issues, there's a lot of cursing and references to sex--but it's just not well-written at all. Also, there's not really a plot, so it's just plain gratuitous.
