I met the author of this book while I was playing at Beatle Fest. I was blown away by his story and his photos so I had to buy his book. Very cool pictures and inside look at the famous trip.

Three people recommended this book to me and I was reluctant to read it as it's not the sort of book I would normally read but I gave in 2 days ago and I absolutely loved it! I cried and laughed out loud and it is the first book I have read for some time that I just couldn't put down- and when I had to put it down I couldn't wait to pick it up again! A definite must read even if you don't think it will be your cup of tea.

Amazing book - well worth reading and the sequels. I love to be surprised by books. I couldn't put it down - until I had to get in my car (this will teach me to read while walking), set it down on the top of the car to get the keys, and forgot it - drove away, it flew off of the car in the middle of an intersection. I know because I went back to get it when I realized and had to pick up pieces from the middle of the road. Felt like I killed someone...had to go out and buy a new one immediately to find out how it ended.

I enjoyed Julia Quinn's story and if no one had told me she had written the first section, I would have guessed it right off. I had a difficult time recognizing Hugh in Eloisa James's story-- no way was that the same Earl. He actually had spunk at the end and with his personality he could have persuaded Georgie years earlier.

Sin lugar a dudas, "Delicias vegetarianas de México" es un libro que no debe faltar en la biblioteca de aquellas personas que quieren dar sus primeros pasos en el vegetarianismo: no sólo está lleno de deliciosas recetas tradicionales (como atoles de distintos sabores, tamales, chiles en nogada, nopales y flanes) si no que además es un libro que contiene información acerca de las proteínas y vitaminas. También contiene recetas con la combinación justa de vegetales para lograr el balance en la dieta. Sin dudas, una excelente opción para aquellos que sostienen que sin carne "no hay sabor".

I still feel very undecided about this book. I can understand the controversy that it caused and why it had people up in arms. And although I can understand that the author's intentions of wanting only what is best for her daughters, I have to question the method with which she took to get it. I don't know that I agree with the author's notion that screaming, belittling, and bribing your children will produce exceptional results. I think there has to be some balance and as my mother always said, it sometimes is a matter of choosing which battles were most important. Although, I suppose in the author's eyes this would make me the product of "Western" parenting. Over generalizing at times, and a bit condescending in tone, make me not want to ever recommend this book to anyone. However, the lesson learned by the author and the remarkable will of her daughters make it a somewhat tolerable and even at times, enjoyable read. Again, I still feel very undecided about this book.

These books are quite entertaining. Unfortunately, the quality diminishes to a point of being unreadable at the title The Mark, which I couldn't even finish.
