** spoiler alert ** I debated on what to rate this. I'll stick with 2*, since that's what goodreads considers 'it was ok' which is how I felt. I decided while listening to this book that I don't really care for the characters that much. Is is horrible that I wanted Simon to die the several times it was a close call? I didn't feel excited about finishing the book, but rather something I should just do. that being said, I'll still listen to the next book, since it's already on my zune =)

I've really enjoyed the growth of Sam Vimes as a character throughout the City Watch books, and seeing where he is in this book is fun - still an irascible hardass, but an irascible hardass who puts everything aside to be home at 6pm to read his son a picture book. And everything between Vimes and Vetinari was golden, as usual. The main plot left me a little cold, as I tend to get with books that wear their themes too much on their sleeves, but there were enough one-liners and comedic moments to keep me happy. (This review is pretty useless if you aren't already a Discworld reader - if you're not, I suggest picking up Guards, Guards!)

Fun & Fast. Quick read. Cliff-hanger ending. One quibble, I read the e-book and I felt that the formatting was off, because at points the POV would change abruptly and think heavens, that I knew based on tone and events whether Seven or Four was narrating.I think I will check out a real book version to see if the same is true or if there is symbols, double spacing, or a page break between the two voices.

الكتاب رائع جدا، يتكلم عن تجربة الكاتب مع حركة الرساليين الشيعية. ويروي قصته من خروجه من بلدته العوامية في شرق السعودية مرورا بالسجن ثم الخروج والذهاب الى ايران والتدرب في المعسكرات الايرانية. يقص الكثير من الحقائق التي خفيت على الكثير من الناس. تنتقل القصة من الكويت الى سوريا حتى تصل الى الهند. يتكلم فيها عن فكر الحركة وعن انقلابها المفاجئ الذي شق صف الشعية بين معارض ومناصر. الكتاب ممتع وشيق وانصح بقرائته لكل شخص يريد ان يتعرف على الفكر الشيعي المعارض في السعودية

Excellent. A really interesting look at how to study natural experiments -- that is, those that occur in the real world -- and draw some very surprising conclusions. Highly recommended. I only wish it were longer.

A good book for someone interested in learning more about commodities and possibly investing in them. Rogers does a good job combating the misconceptions and encourages the reader to do their research, gain comfort and make commodities part of their portfolio. The book covers the basics, but at times it doesn’t go as deep as I would like it to. The last few chapters of book cover a handful of commodities and Rogers provides a good example of how to approach the analysis of commodities. This book is probably too basic for someone who is very familiar with commodities as an investment but is a great read for someone with little or no prior knowledge or understanding.

Hat goes off to Donald R. Wilson for a well written, and carefully thought out, book regarding faith and the unknown. The book is very easy to read and each chapter is thought out very well. Wilson does a remarkable job at showing us how accurate the bible is despite all the scientific testing carried out by mankind to prove it wrong over the past decades. Lots of research was done to back up his points, and his arguments are even more convincing because of the fact that he provides many footnoted references throughout the book. The author informs us that the Bible, which was written over a sixteen-hundred-year span with no changes in the past 2,000 years, has all the answers humans seek; it explains everything ranging from the history of the world, the origin of languages, the source of races and cultures, and the rise of many different religions of the world. This book definitely has given me a lot to think about regarding Christianity, the bible, and our existence in general. Christian or not, ‘Because I Think, I Believe’ is a must read for everyone seeking to discover the true character of his or her reality and existence.
