Paper Towns... This book was kind of an I'll-read-it-when-I-get-around-to-it book. I happened to pick it up at my school library (which I almost never visit) since my friend who is an assistant there LOVES to check out books; I always check out a book when we're there at the same time. I couldn't think of anything else to get, and all of a sudden something in my mind went, "John Green!", even though I'd never read anything of his. I have to say, Paper Towns was a cute story. It certainly kept me interested throughout. The suspense of the clues Margo leaves for Quentin is what kept me going the whole story. I just wanted him to find Margo. The idea of the paper towns, and the use of literature as a clue for Q was intriguing, and the story as a whole was excellent. All in all, I enjoyed Paper Towns. It wasn't the book of a lifetime, nor will it win Book of the Year in my rankings, but it is certainly worth the read. **Sidenote: A little story about me carrying this book around school... The Italian exchange student (who usually isn't too good with puns and figures of speech) picks it up, looks at the cover, and says to my teacher, "Look! That city is under attack!" ;)

I think Dan Brown could be a better screenwriter than a novelist. Felt like I was watching a movie starring Bruce Willis and produced by Steven Spielberg. But I always enjoy a good secret society read, even if it's a farce.

Another hard-hitting piece of Urban Fantasy from the Elemental Assassin series. This book hit the ground not running, but flying and kept kicking my butt from beginning to the end. Gin Blanco finally has her final confrontation with the Fire Elemental - Mab Monroe. After failing twice to bring this evil incarnate down, the stage is set when another bounty hunter delivers Gin's sister Bria into the hands of Mab, setting the trap that has more layers to it than the reader or Gin could imagine. Spider's Revenge kept me engaged throughout the whole book with incredible imagery, raw and intense emotion and suspenseful scenes. What I found interesting and enjoyed was how Gin grew emotionally throughout this book. Finally finding her heart and coming into her extreme power as an Ice Elemental as well as the Stone elemental - Gin explodes with a lethal and frightening display as both elements combine make her her one hell of a force to be reckoned. Gin and Mab literally fight to.the.death! Once again, Jennifer Estep delivers fantastic book well worth the wait and has this reader thirsting for By A Thread. 5/5 stars.

This book was written just for me! I actually met the Lundbergs at Costco where they were promoting this book and they signed it for me. Wonderful people. Alot of great wisdom in this book. Enjoyable story too.

It's a very entertaining (very creative) book! But for me, it didn't have much meaning. I didn't really get anything out of it (mentally) except for some new vocabulary terms. If you are looking for a relaxed joy read, I highly recommend it!
