The story was amazing! It don't seem like the typical stereotype cliche high school drama, and most importantly, it was humorous and had you grinning while biting your fingernails. It didn't have a slow start, it didn't seem boring, in fact I would've finish the book in a shorter period of time if I didn't have exams to deal with. Nevertheless, I've completed, and this is my review. Judging the book by it's cover (and title). A popular ghost, a weird goth kid, wouldn't they make a perfect combination? The characters created, both Alona and Will Killian (I prefer to call him Killian) have unusual name (which is a contributing attribute towards attracting my interest) and they shared a unique relationship. I knew too many human and vampire/werewolves relationship, so hey, ghost? Freaking awesome! They start off really normal, constant bickering, disgust towards each other, but then it really progressed really well, and I quite enjoy the 'transition'. I always thought Alona Dare and WIll Killian would make a fine couple, a fine uncommon couple. One thing I was unsatisfied with though, it's the lack of affection during the 'transition' (from hating to loving). I just felt the lack of passion, but it hit me when I read the part where Alona sort of dissapeared and Killian had something in his eyes (uh-huh), that was the most believable part of their developing relationship. Now moving on to the characters life. They have different lives, Killian being the goth kid who could see ghost (but nobody believed him! Poor kid!) and being socially bullied, and Alona Dare, the oh-so-perfect girl who have issues and died in the end. It was sort of sad to read their stories, especially Killian's, because I've read through the constant struggle that he faced with Principal brewster, his dad's suicide, the annoying spirits, his mom, his shrink, and Joonie (The girl who's in love with Lily). It was a jumble of mess in Kill's world and I couldn't imagine how he kept up with everything, despite all the depression he might faced, he still managed to be normal, in his own ways. But nobody seemed to accept that. As for Alona Dare, I felt so unfair of what people thought about her, how best friends could be backstabbing idiots. But that's just typical right? Overall, I had a really enjoyable time reading the book, it was a fun read and definitely give you the laughs and minor creeps at times. Besides, reading it from a two person's perspective is a pretty good experience. (I read that kind of POV'S in Simone Elkeles books). I would recommend it all to the readers who loves a good read, and not to mention who wanted a change of reading materials. PS. Look out for the one name Joonie, she's sort of...not right in the head, she kinda creeped me out but everything went well in the end. Have fun reading! I know I did! XD
