So I read this in French, and have yet to purchase an English edition. I'm still trying to figure out which one is the best. This novel (made up of 6 individual books, each with many parts) is amazing. But it's also very long and unless you have an enormous interest in French etiquette, you need to know which sections to read. Swann's way is definitely the best of all of the books. But the story about Swann doesn't end until many volumes later when you actually find out what everything is about. In short, if you enjoy a very long, very involved read, this is the book. But set aside a year for it.

Kingwell's book is a very interesting exploration of the nature of happiness. He explores a wide variety of theories from different philosophers, as well as some pyschologists. Ultimately, he concludes that Aristotle's definition is best. Aristotle has always confused me, and Kingwell is the first author who has ever explained him in a way that made sense to me. The author's writing style is clear and concise. He has a good sense of humor, and I liked the way he tied popular culture, philosophy, and personal examples together. The book wasn't dry, dull and boring, the way philosphy can be at times. There is only one reason that I can't give the book five stars. I found that Kingwell rambled a bit, and he lost track of his point. Overall, however, I think the book is really worthwhile, and I would encourage anyone who is interested in philosophy to pick up a copy of the book.

At times it reminded me of Kafka'sThe Metamorphosis. Only more accessible. The line between reality and delusion is blurry. But most of the time it didn't, which is good. I didn't really enjoy Metamorphosis. I did, however, enjoy this.The story is circular; the story has no real beginning or end. I like think the story could go on ad infinitum.

أذكر أن أنها أحدثت ضجة كبيرة في حال صدورها، كنت في بدايات مراهقتي أنذاك، وكنتُ متحمسة جداً لقراءاتها، قرأتها حينها، وأُعجبت بها،و لكن بعد سنتين عاودتُ قراءتها مجدداً ووجدتها خالية من أي قيمة، تعتمدُ على أحاديث المراهقات فقط، و الرغبة في البلبلة ولا أكثر. و فوق ذلك لا تتميز بأي أسلوب أدبي، وإنما كُتبت بأسلوب عادي هو حصيلة رسائل الكترونية أسبوعية تم جمعها أخيراً وتسميتها رواية!

The history of Oysters and New York City are maybe not the most obvious choices for twin narratives, and probably with good reason. I found myself skipping ahead to the fun facts in the oyster sections- oysters on the half shell are eaten alive! culinary oysters are all the same species!, and ignoring the parts about NY. But it get 3 stars because its still entertaining and will make your mouth water until all you can think about is stuffing it with more salty, wriggling, offal-like oysters.

Wow. This follow up to Hunger Games delivers everything that made me not put that book down and upped the ante. A complete page turner. My one complaint is that I have to wait for the next book for an unknown amount of time!!! AH! I want to know what happens! Needless to say, I'm completely taken in by this series. Katniss is a tad tunnel-visioned and naive but those traits make her lovable. Everyone just seems real and this alternate reality world Collins has created is amazing. There's so much depth in the portrayal of the government and the different districts. Great book! Can't wait for the next one. ---------------------------------- The second time reading this through made me like this book more. When desperation hits, Katniss finally shifts her tunnel vision, just a tidge. We start to see her potential.

*This may contain spoilers BUT i'm not going to hide it, you decide whether you want to read it or not* I was going to give 4.5 stars to this book but it's not possible, and cause it was amazing, I'll give it 5 stars :) Which news do you want to hear first? Bad ones or good ones? Let's start with the bad ones: 1º- When I started reading the book my hero was Cam.Why? Because he was polite, honest,hot (yes, I find Cam hotter than Daniel, do you have a problem with that!!??),...In the other hand, I hated Daniel.I know he was only trying to protect Luce but GOD did he really have to flip her off?WTH?! Lauren Kate, why on earth would you write that! Anyway, I was really sad when I found out Cam was the bad guy :( (I know these may not be bad news for you,but they sure as hell are bad for me!) 2º- STALKING IS NOT LOVE!!!! Okay so if I find more bad things I'll update my review... Moving on to the good things :) Well what can I say? Luce is amazing, I love her POV, the story is amazing,... :) Now let me tell you what I thought about each caracter: Luce - As I already said, she is amazing! I love her POV and Lauren Kate made her look very real to me! Cam - Lauren Kate also made him look very real. He's actually my favourite caracter because of a lot of things that have nothing to deal with how good Lauren Kate is..If u know what I mean :) eheheh...:D Daniel - Uhhhhhhhhh, I want to scream so loud "WHY ON EARTH IS DANIEL THE GOOD GUY AND NOT CAM?OH WHY DO GIRLS IN BOOK ALWAYS HAVE TO END WITH THE FREAKIN' BLONDE GUYS THAT ARE SO RUDE TO THEM?WHY!!!"...And that is all I have to say about Mr. Grigori here -.- Hope you liked my review, I'll update it if I find anything more to say :)
