This book is wonderful.....I just loved it. Kristan Higgins is now just one of those auto-buy authors for me. My One and Only is one of those books that will make you laugh out loud, cringe, shed a tear or two and fall in love just a little bit. Definitely one for the "keepers" shelf.

Unfortunately, this meant Gulliver hitched a ride to Disney World with me... my entire vacation/birthday celebration was weighed down by this lengthy book. Though I do admit that there's some wonderful bits to it... it just was handed to me at the wrong time!

As my bookclubs choice for this month, this is the first Harlan Coben novel I have read. I loved it. It was fast paced, certainly kept my interest and I couldn't wait to see how it ended. I did feel the end was a bit complicated (and maybe far-fetched) but a good read.

Heartbreaking smothered by a healthy dose of heartwarming! I absolutely loved this story. I was saddened by the reminder that there are stupid people out in the world who think they can call themselves parents and be able to throw away a child just like yesterday’s trash simply because that child doesn’t fit their own distorted mold for the way the child should turn out. But, Ben and his family warmed my heart back up with their genuine display of love, affection and acceptance. I had nothing but warm fuzzy feelings for these guys and lots of hope. When I came to the end of the book, I thought it was perfect to see two simple words… “The Beginning”. I could truly see this story as the beginning of a wonderful long-term relationship between Ben and Zach. Definitely one of the best m/m Christmas stories I’ve had the pleasure of reading!!!
