I really liked this book. It has an interesting point of view of the story, and I like how this author writes. It also helps that my husband is related to Rebecca Nurse (one of the women convicted as a witch) and that my interest is high for historical novels.

Fun little book, that reminds me more than a little of Stephanie Plum. There's even a "Ranger" in it...and a poor, constantly wrecked vehicle. Typical cozy mystery...a less-than-bright everywoman, who must see justice done, and gets saved just in the nick of time from her own stupidity. I'm not sure I can take many more of Abby's adventures, but I might try one more...

I found this book after an article in the Nashville Scene and am glad I bought it. I may choose it as a book club book, as long as no one will be offended.... UPDATE: I probably will not choose this is a book club book because I am certain that someone will be offended. However, I HIGHLY recommend this book and think every American should read it. Even though it's only one man's account and should be "taken with a grain of salt" I think there are truths in the book that bring up concepts most American's never think of... such as the idea that maybe we're not always the hero, but that we too could be seen as terrorists...

I don't really feel right reviewing this books because I didn't read the whole thing. There's only one way for it to end, right, so I had to stop before he died. I might never have recovered from that. That said, I think anyone who's ever had or loved a dog can relate to this book. It's a bestseller for a reason, right?

this is an early J Picoult book, and it was refreshing to feel like it was something a bit different than her latest books. I liked the way it was written in more voices than she usually uses, and the time jumping i like too. It too some of the sting away from the events in the book.
