This book should be retitled. " A Guide On How To Induce Brain Damage and Maim/Kill Yourself For Dummies". Pretty worthless book overall. Diagrams look like they were drawn by an elementary school kid, with poor drawing skills. It also contains many, MANY nuggets of "wisdom", such as the fact that giving someone an "ear clap" hard enough will not only cause their ears to bleed, but will also instantly KILL them, due to air pressure causing bleeding of the brain. Really? Let me guess. Next your going to tell me that the old "hit a person in the nose hard enough and it will drive the cartilage into their brains and kill them" thing is true. Wait. That is what you are telling me next? oh. Historically worth keeping I suppose, other than that this book is rubbish.

Just realized that I never actually finished reading this book, which changed my life at age 17.

Classic Laymon. Not as strong as his other novels but as always: strong characters. The novel still blows away 90% percent of other horror novels

I heard a lot of buzz about this book before reading, but didn't know too much about the plot. This was another book that I read right before the movie came out so that I could see the movie. I enjoyed this story. The journey of the main character was very interesting, especially since I didn't know anything about this culture before reading it. The relationships between the characters, both the postive and negative, as well as learning about this culture, are what made this book enjoyable for me.

zThis is the third installment in the zMackenzie brothers saga. It is almost as good as the first. Cameron is such a tortured hero.but not the dark brooding kind. And Ainsley is a wonderful loving heroine. No games. I think that's why I love Jennifer Ashley's books so much. They are not full of all that silly fake plot devices used by other authors. No fake misunderstandings, artificial fighting or situations. The Mackenzie brothers are larger than life characters but very real in the way they handle the trauma of their life and they pick interesting intelligent loving women. Bravo!

A compilation of bone-chilling, head scratching, knee-slapping stories-the like that will never be seen again about the Wild West. There is not a dull story in the whole bunch!

3.5 Stars Nick is a famous author and has been tasked to stay in a haunted house for 66 hours along with his two lovers, lawyer Oliver and much younger on-line porn star Andy and their best friend and her dog. Nick is sure that it's all a hoax to attract customers, however some a knife shows up in the hallway and the hammer that supposedly was used to kill a family in the house starts appearing randomly. I kept wondering if there was other stories with this trip explaining how they got together and I did some searching and there may be other stories with them but I wasn't certain. You don't need to read the others, it's quite clear how their relationship works and references are made to past incidences of infamy for the three. This is kind of like Scooby Doo meets m/m romance. It was quite funny but there was also a hint of real mystery. On the whole when you're looking for a lighter ghost story this is a good choice and I enjoyed giving it a read.
