aahhh the book is awfull,boring and lacks a good plot...i could'nt stand to complete the book..unnecessary details,description and hell lot of insignificant characters really drag the story...

3.5 stars. This was a short e-book I had on my Kindle that got picked for my dentist appointment wait today. It was a sweet story, although a couple of things seemed a bit unrealistic to me. Still I liked the overall message of being true to yourself and relying on your family and friends to help you.

** spoiler alert ** This book made up for the last one. I didn't really enjoy the last one as much as I enjoyed the ones before but this book made it alllllll better. Kayley and Tod. OMG. It was just, like... mind-blowing. And I am 100% supporting the relationship because I love seeing Todd in this new light!!!!! He just takes Nash right out of the picture and OMG the ending! When Tod comes back and Kayley comes back! It was just the best. Tod is so hot and amazing and sweet and funny and hot and amazing and I love him! Team Tod all the way. Nash is turning into a douche bag. I mean, I loved him in the fist books but when he started taking Demon Breath? Man, did I start hating him. I do feel sorry for him because of how addicted he is to it and WHAT HE DID TO KAYLEY but seriously, dude? Get a hold of yourself. Although when I first saw Tod tell Kayley that she and Nash weren't meant to be I was like: :O But I can see that he's completely right. I mean, maybe Nash and Sabine are better for each other than Nash and Kayley. I love Tod. I love that moment when he confessed to Kayley on how he realized he was pretty much in love with her because that was one of the greatest moments in my life. Not Kayley's life, my life. :D TOD!!!! Why can't you be mineeee?!?!?!?!?!? A funny thing about this book was how much Kayley wanted o have sex with Nash because she was going to die. And even more funny because she didn't even do it with him and then she ended up with Tod instead. xD Anyway, BEST book of he series so far and I can't wait to read the next book! SO FREAKING EXCITEDDDDD! TEAM TOD!

I cannot tell you how often someone has come up to me and said they love to read, and then it turns out that the only book they've read in the last five years is Da Vinci Code. I thought of it more like a short-attention-span movie script than a thought-provoking or even that entertaining of a book. BUT if it caused more people to try reading again, that is the one good point I will give. In my opinion, it was written only to make money, which it did very successfully. This is much like the radio song that artists release on their album to capture the masses for a couple weeks. It did not convey any historical facts and instead made up "facts" that leave most of the population even more confused than before on religious history. I do have some children's books that I still enjoy as an adult because they make me see life in a new way or introduced me to a world of imagination, but I outgrew the repetitive Nancy Drew series style of predictable page-turners and fillers years ago. The closest thing I can compare it to that I do like is Grisham novels, but I enjoyed the growing personalities of the characters and the legal world I would get introduced to during those books. I didn't feel connected to these characters or that I learned anything of interest.

A gorgeous, poetic personal account of Black Elk's life, historical battles, personal connections to Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull, etc. I fell in love with his descriptions and dialogue. Some spots get a little long (his dream/vision sequences), but it's a lovely glimpse into the life of a Native American who lived on the brink of seeing his peoples' extinction.
