This book is filled with the kind of corporate optimism that leaves some people absolutely flat; no surprise there. If you can get past the affect, however, this book is quite useful. Allen's job for 20 years has been training knowledge workers how to organize their life. I'd especially recommend this book to anyone moving or graduating, as many of the tips he has are easier implemented if you are ready for change and can can re-design your whole office space. It also helps if there's a ray of anal-retentiveness peering down into your soul.

very enjoyable i read it like in 2 days. The book is all about relations, love and meeting the person you adore everywhere you go with no former intention to meet them .I really enjoyed every page and wished the book was little more longer .

I was hooked from the beginning and it held my interest throughout. However, too many characters, names and side stories to keep track of.

ah, the bronte sisters living in the moors(?) or english country or london writing depressing tales of romance, solitude and betrayal i still have to read this book too!!! this one has multiple shelfing possibilities: collecting dust, still have to read, and probably will be one of my all time favorites when i finally get around to reading it!

A different category of publication, an actual notebook kept by high school friends. A unique read that will have you reflecting on your high school memories.

I really wanted to love this book--I most enjoy non/historical fiction and The Red Tent is one of my favorites (Anita's other book). Also, the leading female characters seemed ripe for bringing deeper humanity to the story of Jewish survival during the Holocaust. But unfortunately, I kept craving more in depth understanding of the leading characters-- I got snippets of trauma, past events, and personality sprinkled throughout the novel that made it almost impossible to picture the women, let alone identify or empathize with their individuality and relationship dynamics. This book has so much potential to be amazing, but unfortunately left me wanting so much more richness and anticipation for their rescue at Atlit.

I've read this book about once a year since I discovered it in Vietnam in 2001, when suffering from a particulary nasty brush with dysentry... I can't really recommend it as it reminds me of experiences that make me chuckle but should never be discussed in good light.
