I liked it- the relationship and life learning curve of a boy to a man with lots of learning curves, I did like "the painted veil" better. I did not know that the used book I was reading was a condensed version, that was condensed by the author.

This book was sad at first but had a happy ending a girl gave birth in a hotel room and her heartless boyfriend dumped the baby in the woods in the dead of winter. Thankfully another father and daughter were on their way back from a hiking trip and found the baby. They kept it for a while until the mother realized the baby survived and showed up.

We have the first three Little House books on audio and have borrowed the third from the library. I love them, the girls love them, even my husband loves them. It helps that the narrator Cherry Jones is good to listen to. He doesn't like certain narrators. They really are remarkable books. However, many people more qualified than I have written on the wonders of Laura Ingalls Wilder so I won't. But I highly recommend them.

She was born with a purpose, and must decipher the meaning of the visions she starts having just before her 17th birthday. Clara’s vision makes it necessary that the whole family move to Jackson Hole, Wyoming so that Clara can fulfill the events that occurred in her vision. But getting close to the object of her vision, Christian Prescott, proves an intense challenge. Clara befriends Wendy, who is considered one of the Invisibles, and Angela, a girl who doesn’t fit any particular label. Christian, on the other hand, is part of the Haves clique, which only makes him more attractive to Clara. When Clara starts to become attracted to Tuck, Wendy’s twin brother, it risks her entire purpose on Earth. I have always been fascinated with the idea of Nephilim, ever since I encountered them in an adult urban fantasy series a few years ago. Since then, I’ve read numerous series that feature a Nephilim as a main character, in both adult and YA series. Unearthly by Cynthia Hand is a wonderful read; I found it really hard to put down. I started recommending it to anyone who would listen and was interested in finding out what I read. There is never a slow or dull moment throughout the entire book, and I cannot wait until Hallowed is released so I can find out what happens next. A lot of readers are less than thrilled when love triangles are thrown into a series, but I really like this one. I can understand why Clara is so conflicted between Tuck and Christian. I’d honestly be happy for her if she ended up with either one, but I’d feel very sorry for the guy who gets rejected. I have absolutely no idea how Cynthia Hand will resolve this. I liked this book much more than I expected, and look forward to getting to know some of the secondary characters a bit more, especially Angela, in the subsequent books.
