Rebecca Traister gave voice to a lot of what I was feeling during the 2008 election but could not put into words. Like so many of the Democrats she questions, I was torn between Hillary and Barack. For a non-fiction book, it is quite the page turner! Her voice is very engaging and I was sad when the book came to an end. I enjoyed the scope of her book, and reliving the most powerful and historical election in my lifetime.

Interested read. It is very much reading 2 books in one. It took me a lot longer than normal to read this book. Althought I found the plots both interesting, I was a bit bored with how repeatitive it began to feel three-quarters though. I think this could have been scaled down and still been a better book.

I enjoyed some of the stories, including "The Doll" and "Slumber Party" but most of them didn't interest me. I felt very detached from the characters; a lot of their actions didn't seem to make sense and I never felt invested in how it was all going to work out.

This one is, as the kids say. where things "get real". It's almost like the series is divided into two parts - the first three books introduce the world of Hogwarts and Wizardry, setting up everything in the universe for the last 4 books. The last three books deal with the fight against Voldemort, and this book is the bridge between the two parts of the story. The end of the book is still a major page-turner, even after several rereads. (June 2007) I love all the books, but this is the first one that gets a little more complex, a little darker, and a little more suspenseful. I just finished it last night and I couldn't put it down once I got into the last 50 pages, even though I knew exactly what was going to happen.

Thoroughly enjoyable, although he could have been a little clearer about what was going on with and who the sewer harpies were. The Hellhounds and re-animated creations were a delight.
