Masters of her Heart is such a great tale. The passion exploded onto the pages and never really left. Ms. McKenzie shows us a side of the Dom/sub world where passion may rule but so does the heart. I thought the way all three of the characters explored their newfound relationship together just added to the plotline. I thoroughly enjoyed this tale and will definitely put it up so I can read it again for pure pleasure. Morrel's books are always kind of forumlaic, but for those who don't like continuing characters (I happen to), he introduces new protaganists in almost every book. This one has an interesting "game" them built in, plus I like the info on time capsules.

I bought this book because I was just a few dollars short on my order to qualify for free shipping on Amazon. I made the mistake of beginning the book just before bed and thought I would just read a few pages before going to sleep. I couldn't put the book down! Callie was just such a real, endearing character and I felt I had to be with her while she navigated her course through her rule breaking in order to finally experience life as she wanted. I laughed at her escapades when she braved the male dominions of the Brookes and the Sports club and I cried with her when she felt the jibes of her being a spinster from her snarky relatives and pity from her own sister of own sister. Ralston was such a wonderful hero - a practiced rake who knew how to set the heart racing with just a few whispers and a light touch. I loved that he played the piano in this room. The brooding hero playing music - I love it! Best line in the book goes to him - "Kisses should never leave you satisfied." There was also a great supporting cast of characters that have their own stories that I can't wait to read. The only criticism I can give is that although the love making is hot, I feel Callie gives in too easily when she is kissed by Ralston. There are a few times that she is hurt and angry with him and she caves as soon as they lock lips. I highly recommend this book for lovers of romance. Just don't read it before bed - I was so tired the next day as I didn't sleep until 4:30 am after I had finished the book!

Favorite Quotes She blushed and so did he. She greeted him in a faltering voice, and he spoke to her without knowing what he was saying. I loved him as we always love for the first time; with idolatry and wild passion. Just for the sake of amusement, ask each passenger to tell you his story, and if you find a single one who hasn’t often cursed his life, who hasn’t told himself he’s the most miserable man in the world, you can throw me overboard head first.

** spoiler alert ** As far as classics go this was a good book, but I guess I'm a sucker for happy endings and well the ending just wasn't exactly an ending.

Creepy here and there, and sad, but a great story. Loved the French accents of the narrators. I'd recommend it.

Read this book for what it is...not what you think it should be. I read it a few years ago and loved it because it was an interesting story told well. I recently re-read parts of it after taking several writing classes and now I can say it's definitely not the literary masterpiece that I once thought it was. I think there's a lot of unnecessary post-James Frey fuss about this book, and also I think Burrough's second book, "Dry," about his struggle with alcoholism, is much better.

i think i had better expectations of this book. unfortunately, they were not met. overall, i didn't really like it only because it really doesn't clarify much about how the prophet (saw) was acting out of Divine revelation. Karen Armstrong portrays him more as a normal man. Nonetheless, it has a great message (which can be derived from the great title of the book).
