Standard espionage/adventure book, with an added twist of corporate owned network news. Behind-the-scenes intrigue of network news, including principal journalists, producers, and sources of information were interesting.

If you like ancient Rome, politics, etc., this is a good popular treatment of Cicero's life.

A popular history of the phyiscal forms and storage mediums of the book through history. A bit dry, and often the author seems a bit too pleased with his own attempts at wit, but at the same time still a good, brief introduction to the varieties of construction and use of an object that seems otherwise immutable. In other words, a book that demonstrates that the book in its current form is actually a long-engineered technological achievement, with particular strengths and advantages that any electronic "replacement" would have to consider.

I like Kundera because he doesn’t imprison me in a fastened frame of a classic narration. Reading Kundera seems as if you meet an old friend in a cafe shop after ages, and while she/he relates her / his life story, you zip your coffee, listen to the cafe music, hear some chats and laughs at neighbouring tables, look at the peddlers at side walk, or a passing tramvay, … as life is flowing around, ….

Read this when I was younger, was one of my favourite books. I lost track of how many times I read it. I remember borrowing it again and again from the local library until I finally convinced my mother to buy it for me :P

This is possibly the most confusing book I have ever read. It's interesting phrases and terms that we do not see yet on Earth do leave a lot up to the imagination, and so, I'm sure some will absolutely love M.T. Andersen's way of making us think. The book did make me think. A lot. I think that some day when I have more experience from more reading, I'll come back to this book and enjoy it even more.

Though The Stranger (The Outsider), Its theme and outlook are often cited as exemplars of existentialism, Camus did not consider himself an existentialist; in fact, its content explores various philosophical schools of thought, including absurdism, nihilism and so on. Meursault, an Algerian ("a citizen of France, yet one who hardly partakes of the traditional Mediterranean culture") who irrationally kills an Arab. Meursault's first-person view before and after the murder, respectively.

Never thought I would get over Dimitri but Adrian has totally grown on me! I understand D might not be able to face it if Rose decides to hold what he did to her (and everyone in general) against him, but seriously... His fierce display at the end made me proud despite his jerkiness. Wondee if Jill is Lissa's sister... Can't wait for Lasr Sacrifice!

Over all it is a really good book. I'm not sure if its the way that it is written, or if Nic Sheff really is just whiney. I've read many autobiographies about addictions and I've never come across one that was so pathetic; it probably isn't the right word and it is a little harsh. Nic is just very 'poor me' about the whole situation. I feel worse for his family, and his half sibilings than I really do about him.
