Great book about a not-so-typical junior high kid and his not-so normal life. If you thought normal people had issues in junior high than we as the human race have nothing on Vladimir Todd and his perilous life in junior high. Love the book. It had humor, experiences that happen to all junior high kids, adventure, and friend and family values in it. Great read for people who like the vampire genre and young adults.

Stephanie Perry Moore wooed me into this book. I was amazed how she captured me to finish this book within a few hours! So much drama, well-written, witty at some points, and beautiful-fairytale ending! Can I have a love like no other too! I also loved how she handed the intimate scenes...brilliant!

Ellie is an elf who has been fascinated by the werewolves who run in a world parallel to hers which she can see. She sees a hurt werewolf, tried to help, but they run off. Now she wants some werewolf loving and after chasing them for several days, the werewolf who was hurt comes to her. Now he's says she's claimed but she tries to deny it. Okay story. Short and wam-bamish.

I loved the writing of this book, but hated Margaret. I think it may have something to do with the distinctions between "The White Queen" and her character being so darn likable and the contradictions of this main character as she claims to possess holiness but then contradicts that in everything.

Not my favorite of the series. Lots of action but no real development in the series.

This was mostly recipes after little stories about the kitchen at Elm Creek Manor. Kind of fun, but didn't move the Elm Creek Quilters' story along much.

3.5 stars is more accurate, but I'd like to contribute to an overall higher score in hopes that more readers will check the book out. "Saturday" isn't so much the story of a life-altering day in Henry Perowne's life, but an in-depth portrait of Perowne and his mind. Few remarkable things happen to Henry throughout his extended day, with the exception of traumatic encounters with a street thug that both end a bit too conveniently, but Henry himself is far more interesting to know. I like McEwan's ironic use of manipulating the West's fear of an Islamic terrorist attack by having the Perownes attacked by one of their fellow countrymen. It's a timely book, and was even more so upon its publication in 2005. I look forward to reading more by McEwan, but I hope his other works are more active. Not to say that I didn't enjoy this little experiment (it's good to see writers diversify), but if the film adaptation of his "Atonement" is any clue, I should be in luck.
