What a great book to wrap up my summer reading! The reader cannot help but fall in love with these beautiful, strong characters. Stockett created authentic characters, able to draw empathy from me. Minny is strong and sassy and doesn't take $h*t from anyone, except her husband. Aibileen in inspriational and gentle, and suffering from the worst grief imaginable. Skeeter is funny, and stuck between her own desires, dreams and goals and those of her mother and friends. And who could not love Miss Celia? She was desperate to fit in, and suffering her own tragic losses. With this collection of characters, the book is heartbreaking, funny, inspirational, tragic, and triumphant all at once. I kept from giving it 5 stars because there were just a few things that bothered me. I didn't like how the part about "the Benefit" was told. It threw me off, that it'd been alternating POV, and then suddenly switched to third-person. I felt there were a few parts that could have used a bit of editing, only in that they felt repetitive, or in other cases felt lacking. But this was a wonderful book. I loved it!!

I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was a clever mystery without being scary. These are the kind of mystery books I like. I did feel like the clues were a little too easy to guess. I knew exactly what it was after the first clue was read. It bugged me that no one else figured it out until they had everyone else's clues. Other than that, I loved it!

Good book, maybe the author tried to be a bit too Bondish at time but I really enjoyed it. Bond gets taken out of jis holiday and thrust into a a mission in the middle east, to stop Dr Julius Gorner from corrupting Britain, which he hates. it was pretty unrealistic mostly but at some points like when Bond dives through an underwater not knowing what was on the other side, i wondered if i would have managed

This is what a teen romance novel should be. Its not the best book by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan, but it reminds me of why i love them when they write books together. Rachel Cohn and David Levithan always manage to give us great uncontemporary love stories and in that sense i believe this is their best book. The way we read from both Dash and Lily's point of view gives us just enough info about each character without boring us with just one character Great read, but before you read this try reading their other books "Naomi and Ely's No Kiss list" and "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" these books are great and along with "Dash and Lily's Book of Dares" Rachel Cohn and David Levithan have become two of my favorite Authors

Book #19 of 2009 The ending was quite anti-climatic. After building up the whole ghost thing for most of the book, the knight's reapperance as living was never explained at all. And the villian was promptly disposed of with barely any effort. I prefered Miles' "Highland Knight" (Book #9) more... at least there was some explanation at the end. Borrowed from the library.
