More puzzling than riotous. A demented portrait of a Bohemian family that exchanges romantic partners as casually as socks. Terribly interesting, but I'll need a stage production in order to truly envision it.

I really enjoyed this book. I found the characters and stories they got involved in so compelling. It also seemed so well researched and to really capture the time and place without just simply replicating the research. It really seemed to bring to life the sailing culture and Denmark location of the time periods covered. I think if you love the Master & Commander series of books that you might enjoy this as well, it covers some similar areas and feeling, but in its own unique way.

Kim Bethers suggested this book. An interesting book about a pioneer family in the Brown's Park and the strong women that were part of that family. I learned about the history of this area and the surrounding areas. One of these women lived in a cabin that still existed in 1985 at Dinosaur National Park in Vernal when this book was printed.

An interesting book about the leprosy colony in Hawaii. There were some things in the book that made me blush, so I don't know how much I can recommend it. However, it certainly made me think, cry, and be grateful for the things I have.

Ok so I will preface this with I wasn't expecting to like the book going into it but it was not as bad as I expected! There were some tangents, but they weren't that long which made it bearable. I had seen the movie so I knew the basic plot. It was a quick easy read and had some humorous parts.

Obviously it's a great work put together ages ago. It's highly adaptable across various applications in life whether it is acutal warfare or in the business setting. I think the real beauty of the work as a whole is it's brevity and clarity. Each point is concisely presented without belaboring any particular section.
