This was an AMAZING book!!!! I was at wal-mart and I picked it randomly not knowing what it was, so I read it and fell in love with it, I really recommend this book! The author is also very amazing! :)

Accidental Abduction is such a fun read. Megan has found that she has horrible taste in men. She is thinking of all her relationship disasters while floating in the ocean treading water while she watches her current boyfriend speed away in his boat. Megan has found herself dumped in the most horrible way, he wants her dead. She is still fighting this fate when she sees what she assumes is the lighted way into heaven. As her ascent into the sky begins she realizes this is not a journey into heaven, but into the fish tank like bowels of an alien space craft. Date night has officially gone from knocking on deaths door to her accidentally being abducted by an alien. Talk about wrong place at the really wrong time. Tren is a retired mercenary, now acquisitions specialist. He is NOT a pirate and he does not care what the crazy human barbarian female thinks on that matter. He is a transporter and wrangler of goods, an acquisitions specialist. He is too far away from Earth to take her back where he found her. He has no use for her on his ship or in his life. The only purpose he can see her having on his ship is annoyance. With that settled he sees only one option, the slave auction. He has only one problem with this whole situation, he can’t keep his mind or hands off of the quick witted, sharp tonged Earthling. This is a fun read. The manner in which Tren and Megan go back and forth is very humorous. Megan knows that her words get her into trouble more often than not. This knowledge does not stop her from speaking her mind. She begins to figure out that her words get a certain reaction out of Tren. It’s a reaction that she finds she likes just a little too much. The lusty looks from Tren when she is verbally attacking him keep the barbs spilling out of her mouth. Tren knows he should find a muzzle to quiet his latest acquisition. Neither one seems to have the will or the want to do anything about the attraction. They eventually give in for some extremely hot alien sex.

War has always been a subject of interest to Phillip especialy when the germans are about to attack , Curacao a small island.Ofcourse Phillip is willing to watch every gory minute of it. Unfourtanetly his mom thinks he is better of in her home town , virginia. Phillip is resistant of his moms idea ,but still is forced to go. They traveled oh a freighter to get to the untited states but it was shipwrecked.Phillip wakes up on a raft in the middle of the sea with the hot, bluring sun in his face and a really hurtful head injury next to a colored man , tis timothy and his cat. After his head injurey causes him to be blind he has to learn how to survive without the help of his mother and father. This book has made me learn some of the things you must need when your out on your own. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes the outdoors and loves all the action of war. Its a really great short read i hope you enjoy it.

A good friend recommended this quite a while ago and I finally got around to reading it. I both liked it and hated it at the same time. I really enjoyed the historical parts of the book but found the actual story leaving me thinking, "How much more can one person endure?" only to dive into another tragedy.

So little is available about life of white nonslaveowners in the South prior to the Civil War that this book provided a delightful insight. The author actually interviewed the rural people who lived around the small Georgia town in which she lived, getting stories of those times. Thus she was able to weave a real account of what that life was like and how different it was from the picture drawn by Gone With The Wind.
