picked this up at the in-laws house and within the first few pages I wanted to read more. Finished it in two days. It spoke of the human spirit, the ability to survive no matter the circumstances (especially if it's surviving your parents' choices), the events that shape who we become, and the powerful emotion of love and belonging.

** spoiler alert ** WOW this story went in a totally different way then I thought it would go. I was so surprised when it happened that I thought I misread it. I knew from the beginning that Brynn had done something, but I totally thought Charm was Joshua's mom. I was glad that Allison came out okay but what Brynn did was shocking! I would like to read more by this author
