Scott Hurff scotthurff — What a great little read! I really enjoyed the diary style, it made the book very emotive. I felt great empathy for the "writer" & her husband is a very dark character indeed. Whilst not a horror novel by any stretch of the imagination, the book was frightening on a psychological level. The events discussed were not too wildly overstated, giving the feeling they could truly have occurred, with the situations caused by human hands as opposed to spiritual having the most impact.

Devone Paul devonepaul — Fascinating but very difficult to slog through. I'm not a math whiz and I really felt like you needed to be pretty conversant in math for this to be mind-blowing, like I was hoping it would be. So one day after I get my math down, I'll revisit this one :)

Isaac Sosa _unkel_atze — This was a short book about the Gospel of Judas that has recently come to the forefront and garnered much attention. Wright takes time analyzing why people cling to "new discoveries" and what this implies in our culture. He then goes on to explain what this material does bring to light and then what it does not by specifically responding to much writing by Gnostics. I am certainly no theologian(just enjoy it as a lowly layman) and so this was not something that really came across my radar. If I was not so invested in reading everything that Wright has done, it would have been even longer before I heard about it. That said, I did not have too much invested in hearing specifically on the topic so while I did enjoy it, it was certainly not one of my favorite of his. I am very thankful to be hearing of this from a source I enjoy/trust so much, though.

Dvon Warner _von_rt — I finally began reading this book in late September. It has taken a while to get going, but now I am fully into the plot. And it is thickening...Jump to Jan 2, 2010-- FINISHED and loved this book. Could have finished reading about a week earlier but realized that I would be saying goodbye to the characters in this book that I had grown to love, I slowed down...Dickens has done it again! The title is rather dismal but the story itself is not. Dickens is a genius! Next on the list is "A Tale of Two Cities"...
