Kim Jae rlawodms10c029 — This was a very powerful book for me. I read it senior year of high school for the first time, and ended up writing one of my college essays about it. I would be interested to see what I wrote then, and compare it to what I would write now, after so many years and so much life changes and experiences. I feel like I am living that searching, and have always really resonated with Siddhartha's search for meaning and truth.

Phuoc Tran dungnoikho2d3a — Even though I’ve read all of Jodi’s books and knew how this one would unfold by page 120, I still enjoyed it. Sure, it follows her standard formula (shifting perspectives, controversial topic, big court battle), but she presents her stories in an approachable and captivating way. Two cent summary: Zoe and Max can’t have a baby together, so they get a divorce. She ends up with Vanessa. Max becomes a born again Christian. So there are the major themes: infertility (and pro-life/choice issues), homosexuality and religious fundamentalism. I thought Jodi did a great job describing the heartbreak and desperation of Zoe’s infertility. There were some unsavory characters like the evangelicals, whose zealousness was frustrating and came off as ignorant. I was not thrilled with Vanessa’s introduction, which felt like a long justification of her sexuality and its effect on her lifestyle and relationships. Although I predicted the path the novel was going to take, I was pleasantly surprised with the final outcome. It delivered exactly what I have come to expect as a Jodi fan.

Wafik Hammami wafikhamma3df4 — I was given this book at work and we will be discussing it as a group in a few weeks. The quiz and results was interesting. My first "strength" was "INPUT". I was told that I collect facts and may collect books! MAYBE....

Manohar Lal juskar42 — One of my favorite characters, and stories have stayed strong despite the length of the series (unlike many other authors who begin to phone it in after a few novels). Character development of the sidekicks in this book is wonderful. Can't wait for more.
