Wanzhen Cen wanzhencen — Maybe this wasn't my cup of tea or just not in the correct mood. Can't really fault anything necessarily, just didn't connect with the characters and the story.

Allie Edwards _llllz — This was not my favorite Maisie Dobbs book. It seems a little longer than necessary and has a looser focus than some of the earlier installments. Maisie's job is not to find out who murdered Greville Liddicote, head of a private college in Cambridge for international pacifists. Instead she is supposed to take a teaching job there in order to report on any political activity that may be of interest or bear further watching. However, apparently the presence on the faculty of Nazi party members is of less concern to the Secret Service than the pacifist nature of the school. Of course, Maisie does take an interest in the death of Liddicote and uncovers some interesting information about his famous children's book and the relationships among a variety of characters. Meanwhile, Maisie wants to see Billy and his family move into a new suburban house before their baby is born, and she spends about 2/3 of the book fretting over whether James is not in Canada where he says he is, but avoiding doing anything about her concern because she is not sure that they have prospects for a happy future together.

Ink On _nkon_arth — really enjoyed book one of three....The characters were very easy to follow and I loved Bartholomew,he's really my favorite.Couldn't wait to start the next book,which I already did thanks to hurricane Irene.Always enjoyed reading books by Heather Graham.....a very good read!
