Hilary Shenton hilaryshenton — I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. To be honest, while probably an affront to some that Romeo is a jerk who turned evil while Juliet was a naive girl tricked into being immortal and helping soul mates. I found that characterization interesting, as well as some of the plots, so even with its lulls, I enjoyed the concept. Interesting re-telling, if odd.

Gianella G gianegomezc — With all the dystopian fiction out there now, it's sometimes hard for me to say why one stands out more than others, but I loved this one. At age 16, teens get sorted into five factions of society [Abnegation (the selfless), Candor (the honest), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent)], which typically are the ones they've grown up with. But when Beatrice/Tris decides to leave Abnegation for Dauntless after learning that she is dangerously "Divergent" (which means she could fit in more than category), it's a shock for her and the society, especially when she realizes that the peace that was supposed to have been created by having these five factions of society is not as it seems. The violence is intense, but it's balanced by her strong character, a love interest, and an interesting plot. Can't wait for the next one!

Gao Ranran gaoranran — I've read this book so many times now it's ridiculous. This book has inspired mee in so many ways, the main character Case fights to restore his dreams in life while doing what he loves. This is a story of love, rehabilitation, computers, and female ninjas. One of the greatest Cyberpunk novels of all time.
