Karen Carreño karencarrenio — THree shor stories make up this relatively short anthology by J D Robb (Nora Roberts). The first two shorts were the typical fast paced thrillers Robb has created using the ficticious characters Eve Dallas, Roark, Peabody and McNab; law enforcement officials at NYPSD in the year 2060. Roark is an expert civilian, he is also a former crook and the husband of Lieutenant Eve Dallas. Robbs stories, whether short or full novel length would make an awesome television series, that is if they could locate the right actors to fill the part of the characters Robb readers have come to know and love. Now let's discuss the third short in this book.... As noted previously, this story simply did not cut it! It was as if someone else wrote the story, trying despately to copy Robb's style. I felt lost on several occasions and had to re-read several pages to absorb what was happening. Oh well, as the saying goes....two out of three ain't bad
