Brad Carter bradcarter — Deeply frustrating. So much mayhem and murder. So many nefarious plots, minor characters with gutteral names, train rides, and close calls. So little character development and plot. And no resolution. I wanted to enjoy it. I enjoyed Glass Books for the most part. But nothing really happens that hasn't happened before 500 pages before. And the characters are not rich enough to keep the story going.

Eduardo Velez _in_memoria — I always love watching Giada's television shows on Food Network. Her cookbooks are a great way to bring more of her delicious recipes into the home. Everyday Pasta contains all sorts of recipes that use the Italian staple of pasta, in all its shapes and sizes. I tried a few of the recipes from the book, and they tasted great. But then pretty much every dish I've made from Giada's recipes tasted good.

Dmitry Burnos dmitryslem — This book was part of my eventual frustration with what is now known as "cutting edge queer lit..." All I really wanted was to read sappy love stories of boys meeting boys, and instead i open this book which has a combination of creepy looking illustrations and sock puppets and fairly graphic accounts of people getting raped and disemboweled (or not-raped and disemboweled...). I suppose it has it's place in the grand scheme of literature, but, like the S&M clubs that I don't go to throughout the West Village and Chelsea, I think I'd just as soon leave this stuff on the shelf.
