Who Magazin _magazin — Really fun read...lots of humor. Sort of like Bridget Jones for the Christian reader. I met the author in college - her story is light and happy.

Serena Rinaldi _erena_inaldi — I had just finished my review when it got eaten (again.) *sigh* I've read all of Kelley Armstrong's 'Women of the Otherworld' series of novels, and enjoyed all of them, but I have to say I think this is her weakest offering. The things I have loved about them - the sense of danger, the strong romantic and sexual undertones of the relationships between the first-person female lead and the romantic interest, the fantasy elements - just weren't as strong in this novel. Her lead wasn't as sassy. It's something like being a drug addict and having to take a weaker hit - it scratches an itch, but you want something more than that. To be honest, I suspect that at least some of my disquiet stems from the fact that the romantic lead is Jonathan, a man who we've met before many times, and now feels a bit out-of-character in this relationship, a little forced. It feels like she's had to bend him a little to make him fit, and I can see the effort. That said, the book was enjoyable, though I guessed who the bad guys were several chapters ahead, and it kept me entertained for a evening. I'll still be buying her next one as soon as it comes out. In summary: worth reading, but not as worthy as her previous novels.
