Marissa Lutz marissa_lutz — I think the base idea of this book is a good one. There were parts I really liked and there were parts I really didn't. I felt like there were huge gaps where I didn't understand why something was happening. I felt like the relationship between Trevin and Melaia was weird, not realistic. I didn't feel any connection between them. There were so many characters that I didn't get a chance to feel connected to any of them, even though I wanted to. I read a lot of books so I guess in comparison, this book just fell short for me. All the right ideas were there, I think, it was just how it all came together that didn't work for me.
