Kelvin Oliveira kelvingoliveira — Overall, certainly a good book, but some of the album choices (Britney Spears? Limp Bizkit?) are questionable. But props for all the classics, and for mentioning cult masterpieces such as my favourite album of all time, Loveless by My Bloody Valentine.

Candid Brands _andid_rands — This book has it all and is a total must for anyone who enjoys science fiction and/or detective fiction. It seems like every fictional hard-nosed detective has suffered and seen it all and is left emotionless and detached, but Takeshi Kovacs is so much more. He is pissed off on a level so deep that his policy of TOTAL WAR with anyone who crosses him recalls a young Ender Wiggin. There are two more Takeshi Kovacs novels that follow Altered Carbon and they each have a different feel, but are still excellent.
