Reem Bawazeer reembawazeer — I first read this at university, but decided that it was long past time to reread it. In the first few pages, I couldn't see why it had made such a strong impression on me. But by the end of the "Editor's Notes", I'd remembered. And there's so much about it that I'd forgotten - especially the latter part of it. So a rare star upgrade from my original rating. It tells the story of a 'justified' sinner, who believes he's already one of God's elect on Earth, and therefore his place in Heaven is already assured, and then throws a supernatural twist into it. Neatly told from from two different perspectives, it's a fascinating study of how the Devil can twist the beliefs of someone who things he's one of the Elect, and twist them on their head to make him destroy those who try to do good, and ultimately himself. In my view, the bit that's really clever about it, is that the first version of events you see is the more objective "Editor's Notes"; and then it revisits the same events - and many more - from the point of view of the 'justified sinner', who manages to rationalise murder as doing God's work, when in fact he's doing the complete opposite.

Ricardo Barnes mbgud17191 — Good, well written, and not too long, bumbling or spouting, but I had the distinct impression that most of this book went in one eye and out the other. Sadly, I'm just not that into physics, and an awful lot of this book went into describing how to make something fit into something else that was much smaller than itself, and how time travel could work. I was interested, but I couldn't honestly now tell you the answer. Happily, there was an (all too brief) section all about biology, where Paul Parsons chose a selection of monsters and explained how they might work, such as how the Slitheen might be able to fit into the empty skin of a person considerably smaller than them, and why this would cause quite so much gas. There was even a brief overview of The Doctor's two hearts and regeneration, which was very interesting. Sadly, however, too much physics interspersed with too little biology. If that's what you are interested in, then read this book. If not, however, keep enjoying the TV shows - you never know, something like that might come along some day...

Muhammad Taha socialfollowerz — This book was really good. It shows that even though you let people know your intentions from the beginning some still seem not to understand. I was sad at the end, even though the father was a dog, i still felt bad for him. He always let them women that he slept with know actually what he wanted, so was he really in the wrong if the agreed with the actions?
