Liza Yakunina _iza_akunina — Finished the final book in the series! I enjoyed this one, but I do think I most enjoyed the first book in the series, followed by the second, and then this one in third place. I am interested in hearing what other people think!

Font Vixen fontvixen — First book of His Dark Material trilogy, it takes the reader into an universe not unlike our own. A world where human have daemons, animal companions, that are as close to them as anything or anyone can be. A human's daemons is like his soul. For an adult reader, Pullman creates a world where religion, self will and destiny are all intertwined into the life of a young girl, Lyra, who unknown to her has the destiny of the world on her shoulders. In the Golden Compass we go along with Lyra into the Far North in search of the Gobblers and to rescue the children they kidnap. This is a reread for me of this trilogy since the movie is coming out in December.

Kaoru Cchi verocraftsa297 — My goodness, the perfect ending to the wondeful Princess Dairies. This last book to this lovely series is the icing on the cake! Just perfect in every aspect. Especially happy about who Princess Mia ends up with. The only bad thing is that the Princess Dairies is over. If only there were other books as great as this... :)

Pablo Barricarte pbarricart4198 — This book didn't change my life. I could put this book down, and I did. It took me a few months to read this book but that doesn't mean it's not an excellent book. Card does a great job of making you feel like you are truly present. Every chapter I just thought to myself "this would be a great movie" Luckily, there is a film in production of Ender's game. I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to read a good sci-fi book. The story is great.
