Parker Henderson _roven_rts — What a fun read. If you've seen the movie or not, take a moment, sit back, and read this purely fun novel. There are a lot of similarities to the film, but you can tell that Miyasaki took the story and made it his own, a fact of which Diana Jones is content with. The biggest differences I noticed were in the characters, Howl and Sophie. I found Howl to be less endearing and Sophie to be a little more insecure. But make no mistake, that didn't mean I liked the story any less. Both stand alone as great stories. I have to go watch the movie again.

The women and their strength and hope, the way they work together and view the world is astounding--- while not as epic as The Kite Runner, his second novel is still true, honest, and touching.
