George Galarza georgegalarza — One of those books that lives up to and exceeds the hype. Even if baseball isn't your thing, there are many fascinating, exhilarating, even heart-breaking gems within its pages (There's a story about a middling ballplayer named Scott Hatteberg and his wife that still moves me when I think about it). On the whole, it's a great read, about something that I think many will find interesting: folks who think outside the box and paddle upstream instead of going with the flow and doing things "because that's how it's always been done." Plus, it's about baseball, the most beautiful game in the world. What could be better? :)

Bayne Peterson baynepeterson — I liked this book more than his famous Da Vinci Code. It was a good read and I really enjoyed learning more about the process of choosing a new pope.

Eder Delgado ederjohan — If you love history, mysteries/serial killers, and pop psychology, then this is the book for you! And me!! One of the ones you can't put down.

Amanda Alcântara amanda_alcantara — This was an interesting book. I like how it was based on historical facts, just her interpretation of the story. I remember watching The Other Boleyn Girl the movie, with Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson. I believe this is the book that comes after that story. The story is about 3 women, and how their lives become intertwined with the king, King Henry the VIII. I should have realized after watching the movie that this was the guy who beheaded all those people during his reign of terror. Anyways, it was hard for me to get into the story at first. I kept having to refer to the back of the book, where they have each lady listed and their story. But I got used to it, and I got to figure out who was who, and what was happening. The story itself was well written and kept my attention. Towards the end, when I realize what could happen I couldn't help myself. I skimmed through the rest of the chapters and read parts here and there to discover what happens in the end. I couldnt' help myself for some reason. But what I feared was true, didn't stop me from reading the rest of the story. Yes I would recommend it to a friend, who loves history as much as I do. I was able to google these people and found out that the authored followed the history very well. It was very interesting read.
