Shubham Chawla phoenixwings — This is an amazing book. If you even liked just a tiny bit the Da Vinci Code, well this is SO much better and so much more intellectual. Everything in it is like a blaze of emotional and intellectual treasure that you cannot put down until you finish. The ending, I must say, will never disappoint you.

Sophia Ng sophiang — A good, fun, easy read.

Miléna Latil milenalati15ba — I read half of these stories after receiving my advance reader's copy, and I thought they were fun. The second half of the book is mostly stories about characters from Marr's Wicked Lovely series of which I have only read the first book, so I felt like I was missing the point while trying to read them. Needless to say I put the rest of the book away until I eventually read through all of the Wicked Lovely books. But from what I did read, I especially enjoyed the story about the selchie. Not because the writing or plot of the story was particularly outstanding, but just because there aren't many contemporary fiction stories featuring selchies, so it was a nice change of pace from the vampires and zombies that are so popular these days.

Florian Wu wuhao1115c32e — Great genetics book, invokes very interesting thoughts.

Anne Aquilina anneaquilina — This is a marvelous illustration of the multiplicity, and as Pascale de Souza writes, the opacity of Antillean identity. The language of the novel is strong and beautiful - highly recommended!

Luis Gomes lumg — My ma was after me to read this, so now she'll be happy. I'm shamed to say I didn't really even know where Guernsey was. I just thought it was a cow! :0 So the map was good. It's really close to France. No wonder the Nazis were pickin' on them! I had some trouble keeping track of all the different froms and tos of the letters, but this was really good. And I learned some things, which I hadn't expected. Jeanette, I know you think this is fluff, but you should really read it. You would like the historical nature.
