Yang Liu 1065866406ffc9 — This was a well written book. It wasn't as deep or as exciting as I assumed it would be. The characters were interesting but did not really pull me in. I think maybe I had really high expectations. I did like the ending of the circus part of the story. I have mixed feeling about the present day story ending.

梁 維貞 wajine8fc6 — One of my favorite books! I knew nothing about this book, and chose it only because it fit a category for a Book Club I'm in. Now that I've finished it, I am running out to get Michelle Moran's first book! I have always loved reading about Egypt, but I think that even if this book was set somewhere else I would have still loved it. Michelle Moran's writing was amazing, as was her ability to tell a story. I found myself completely attached to the characters immediately and was unable to put the book down. In the back of the book I read that she took a lot of literary liberties when writing this book. I thought that she did a great job and that they all fit well with the context of the story, as well as the context of the characters and history truth in the novel.

Anastasiya Orekhova _astya_anti — This took me a long time to work my way through, but I liked it a lot. As always with Pres. Kimball he just lays it right out there, doesn't beat around the bush about what we're supposed to be doing. And it never ceases to amaze me how even though his (and other apostles) writings were decades ago, they seem so perfectly applicable today.
