Steeven Zeiss _ersonal_iew — Now, I'm a huge fan of John Green and his brother Hank's youtube videos, but I tried not to let that influence me when I read this book. Frankly, I didn't like most of John's books as much as I thought I would. However this one surprised me. The story is about a Quention, a high schooler who's always had a crush on Margo, an unatainable popular girl that abandoned him as a friend when they were kids. Yet all of the sudden Margo appears at his window asking for his assitence in a prank she's pulling on her ex-boyfriend and ex-friend, and Quention, thinking this is his chance to talk to the girl of his dreams, says yes. They prank a few people, have a couple of deep conversations, break into an amusement park, go on a date, and dance with each other. And then the next day, Margo's gone. Completely dissapeared. Her parents wash their hands of her, but Quention thinks she must have left him clues and is determined to figure out what really happened. At the start it grips you and does not let go. Sure it has some slow moments, but for the most part the book keeps you totally focused on piecing together this mystery. And the ending could not have pleased me more. I won't give it away, but lets just say the particular cover of this book suits it perfectly.
