Brad Carter bradcarter — Pretty good book and I'm not a huge fan of LDS literature but I really liked it I'm reading the next one Tribunal right now.

Seong Yeon ontosy89 — A completely irreverent look at British history. It is smart and funny, though I know that many of the jokes were totally over-my-head and I consider myself something of an amateur Anglophile. The book is 75+ years old and thus doesn't include the authors' take on World War II, though considering that they managed to poke-fun at all of the other wars that Britain had been involved with, I'm sure they would have found a way. Truly the authors were brilliant men. However, this is NOT a book that everyone will get or understand WHY you find the objects of "The Pheasants Revolts" so hilarious. Consider yourself warned, if you read "1066 & All That" you WILL laugh yourself into stitches, so it is probably best not to read it out in public.

Kevin Cunningham kevincu — Interesting memoir about a woman whose husband cheated on her and how she came to discover it and deal with the unraveling of her marriage. What keeps the book from being wholly mopey is that the author has a keen awareness of her own faults in both her marriage and in her friendships. She talks often about her own neediness, for example, and she's self-deprecating at times--she's very likable, and as she says, people tell her she writes good emails, so she must be a good writer. Recommended if you want a book that takes, at most, two days to read and has an interesting topic.

Anderson Joelmes _nderson_oelmes — Finished this in the tub last night. Strangely unstisfying book. It continues the story of the Neshov family, picking up immediately where the second book ends. Strangely, the brother I liked least in the beginning turns out to be the only sensible one, sort of. The gay brother becomes unbearable. What an asshole. He totally lives in his own reality. The first half offers more insight into the characters without really giving more insight, just repetitions of characteristics we already know. I had the feeling that something had to give and kept reading just to find out what that is. Once I found out it became a bit more interesting. The end leaves a lot of things unresolved and that's really unsatisfying after three books. I know life's not a neat package, but some closure would have been nice. With this feeling of disappointment, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't recommend this series to anyone, even though I did like reading it.
